Our first location, located in Chandler at the corner of Ray & Rural, opened in the spring of 2001. Our second location, located at the corner of University and Stapley in Mesa, used to be under different ownership and became a part of the Avalon family in the spring of 2015. From the start, Avalon Cleaners has been committed to providing the quality and service our customers expect and deserve – all at one low price!
While affordable dry cleaning is an important feature of our business, our main goal is to provide our customers with excellent cleaning and pressing as well as fast and friendly service. When you drop off a garment, our entire staff is dedicated to ensuring your confidence in our process. Our locations are designed in an open, attractive manner that allows the customer to see the entire operation.
Plus, we know your time is valuable. Our professional staff can have your order ready the same day if you drop it off in the morning, or the next day if you drop it off later. At Avalon Cleaners we truly are committed to providing the best quality and service possible at any price.
About the Owner
Calop Brown has been the owner of Avalon Cleaners since the Spring of 2004. Calop is a very active owner and he can almost always be found at one of his two locations. He is involved in every phase of his operation, from greeting his customers and taking in their orders to the dry cleaning itself. Calop is especially active in the assembly area, where the orders are put together and quality inspection is performed.
Before beginning his career in dry cleaning, Calop held a variety of jobs but always dreamed of owning his own business. He knows what it takes to get the job done right, but more importantly he knows how to take care of his customers. Calop was born in Detroit, Michigan but has made The Valley his home since 1983. Calop is a devoted family man who married his wife, Brenda, the year he moved out west and together they raised 3 daughters. In his free time Calop enjoys sports, both as an athlete and a spectator, and follows all of Phoenix’s major-league and collegiate sports avidly. If it’s your first time visiting Avalon please ask for Calop so that he can welcome you to his store.
